Proper application calls for one gallon of Soil Sement for every eight square feet. Soil Sement sells for $6.62 per gallon FOB in Santa Maria.  That comes out to a $1787.40 for a 270 gallon  tote. One tote will treat one quarter mile of dirt road and it works out to a cost of .08 cents per foot. To rip, grade and compact a road costs approximately .04 cents per foot.

The cost varies depending on what needs to be done to the road as far as grading and replacing road base. The hourly rate for the equipment is $75.00. Each estimate depends on the square footage and condition of the road. Mileage and availability of water are also factors.

Different jobs will have different mileage rates. The mileage rate of $1.00 per mile is charged if the water has to be hauled from Atascadero. If water is available on site, there would be no mileage charge.

Some roads may require road base. An inch and a half of road base will cost approximately $1.00 per linear foot.  Whether a road will require road base or not is determined by the condition of the road and the type of soil on the exsisting road. If the road has a good base it may not need any more base applied. If it has sandy sections, it will need base in order to give the Soil Sement something to bind too.

Payment for the tote of the Soil Sement and base needed will be made by the client. The remainder of money due will be paid upon completion of the road.
